Adopting a growth mindset

When facing a setback or failure, two mindsets are possible, according to Dr. Carol Dweck: a “fixed mindset” views challenges as threats, leading to distress and inaction, whereas a “growth mindset” sees challenges as opportunities to learn and develop.

When the going gets tough, learn to intentionally shift to the  “growth mindset” narrative, because:

  • it strengthens resilience, persistence & motivation
  • it helps you tackle obstacles with greater creativity & speed
  • it boosts confidence and fosters ongoing growth
